aaah Zoey!

Zoey turns two this week. I photographed her 1st birthday and she has changed so much. She is an outdoors kind of girl. We took a trip to Ashe Park where Zoey played in the creek, picking up sticks, throwing rocks, splashing feet, having fun. Zoey, you are an absolute doll.

Brandon & Kristen

October 4, 2008 is the date that Brandon & Kristen have chosen to get married. Of course, I will be doing the photography. We had a great time doing the engagement photos and I have put together a slideshow from the session. I hope you enjoy!

Ken, Melanie, Sarah and baby McFadyen

Four years ago this week, I had the honor of photographing Ken and Melanie's wedding. They were a joy then and a joy now. The joy has tripled with the addition of Sarah and will be quadrupled when the baby arrives, I'm sure. Ken is crazy (as you can tell) and Melanie is the sweetest. Little Sarah was not in the mood for her photo to be taken. She said "NO, Susan" Thanks Ken and Melanie for the opportunity. Love you guys!

Ashe County Armed Forces Tribute

Saturday, August 23, 2008 was the third annual Tribute day. I feel honored to have been a part. Thanks to everyone who volunteered, gave donations, or simply joined in the festivities. Laken

This weekend was a lot of fun. My niece Laken was more than willing to be a "model". A beautiful model she was. Laken......I think you DON'T look a thing like your Aunt Susan, and that is a GOOD thing. I love you baby girl.....

How would you like to meet up with Preston on the football field? Awww..don't worry about it. He's a big ole teddy bear.

Preston, I had soo much fun hanging out with you. I think we got a good variety of photos to remember your senior year.

Matt & Jennifer

WOW! What a wonderful time we had at Matt & Jennifer's wedding. Susan Roark Photography had three photographers covering the event and the photos are fantastic!

The wedding was in Wilkes and it was HOT, HOT, HOT! The reception was held at the Walker Center at Wilkes Community College, so that provided relief from the heat.

Jennifer, you were an absolutely beautiful bride. I hope your wedding day was all that you wanted it to be!
